FC Porto 1 Vs Liverpool FC 1

Looking at the result, that if you didn't watch the match, you'd think, not bad right? Furthermore the goal from Porto is a penalty and the Liverpool goal is from a set piece. If I didn't watch the match I'll be thinking that Liverpool played well and so does Porto but we were the better team cos we were able to score a 'proper' goal. Remember this is what I think IF I didn't watch the game. So don't get all defensive yeah. haha...

Well...I watched it.

The match was just crap man. It wasn't the boring kind of crap...it's more of the 'what the bloody hell are you doing' kind of crap. On one corner, it's a team that looks so lost in their own team. There was no chemistry or communication between the players. ALL of them look out of it...and yup...even Stevie. I don't know what happen man but they better start getting their act together cos this is only the opener..Even during the Portsmouth game, Liverpool were not creating much chances. Forget that match for now, back to the Porto game. Like I said all of them played like this is their first UEFA match. The defenders were terrible and messy. It was like they are not themselves. There were times where they couldn't clear a simple ball out of play or even maintain possession. The midfielders were giving away 'toll free coupons' man...That's the first thing that came to mind... Because there were many instances where the spaces are opened up for Porto to pass through without much effort from Liverpool to attack. It was that frustrating. Stevie looks wayward man...he gave away possession of the ball like 3 or 4 times man. And one of them almost let Porto score.

Birmingham 0 Vs Liverpool FC 0

Another upset. This time we played well. But it seems that I'm the only one who thinks so man. Watching the game, I was quite on edge cos Liverpool created a number of chances as compared to their last game. The only disappointing part is that the ball never made it far...into the goal that is...Stevie-G played better too. He was able to create space and move forward. The only error in play is putting Andriy Voronine up front. I'm still standing firm to my opinion that Andriy doesn't have the confidence of Torres up front. There were a couple of chances where the ball was in his view and all he had to do was flick it in but he failed to do it and there were other times where he gave away the ball too easily. I think Andriy is more suited to European matches than League matches. If he wants to play in the premiership or league competition, let him sit in the midfield area not a striker. The good thing though, he can link up with Torres quite well. Even though some Liverpool fans are starting to lose faith in Rafa's army, I will stand by them man. It's sad to read that their own fans, the Kop, booed them off the field. I mean that has got to be a blow to them. Furthermore it's a home game. Well let's pray really really hard that they can recover from this setback. The other setbacks are injuries to Xabi Alonso and Daniel Agger. Two of our key players. However, on a lighter note, Fabio Aurelio is BACK!! haha...He played for a few minutes during the second half against Porto and he's back in good form. Thank God for that man.

You know something, I pity my tv man...It takes a load of crap from me everytime I watch a sport. haha.. From my screamings everytime a foul comes up, ball is given away, missed chances, the refree being a 'refree' or just to scream cos we lost...haiz...I think there were some punches thrown too haha...oh wait that is done to my pillow and the cushions on the couch haha...I have REAL issues man...

Moving on...just watched the following games and here are the results,

Rugby: Ireland 3 vs France 25, Wales 72 - Japan 18(?)

Baseball: New York Yankees 12 vs Toronto Blue Jays 11

Soccer: PSV Eindhoven 4 vs Feyenoord 0

Man I don't know what's going on with Ireland man. The performance this time was alright. It wasn't as bad as during the Georgia. But this time they lost. Our first lost man. The only point we got came from a drop goal by Ronan O'Gara. Ronan, Ronan, Ronan...I don't whats wrong with him man. It's like he has lost his touch. His penalties are disappointing and his attempt to put away the ball is like crap. They better buck up if they want to qualify man. On the other hand, Wales triumph!! haha...72 point sia...But then again it's against Japan but what the heck right haha...and James Hook scored a try woohoo! I didn't get to watch the match cos it's early in the morning and I have work the next day.

Moving on to baseball....I only managed to catch the Saturday(US time) afternoon match (delayed telecast on Sunday night) and man what a match haha...But bloody ESPN, they cut half the game to suit to the time slot. They only showed the innings where runs are scored. I think the actual game ran for 5 hours (usually 3 hours). They even played into the extra innings. haha...The Yankees were teasing the BlueJays all the way man. Everytime the BlueJays managed to take the lead, the Yankees leveled with them haha...At the end of the 9th inning, the scores were 11 - 11. So that means game goes on to extra innings. In the 10th inning, the BlueJays didn't managed to get a run so it's up to the Yankees to either finish the game or let it play on. So this is how it played out. First to bat was Jorge Posada. He hits a ground rule double and went on to second base and later Johnny Damon was brought in to pinch run for him. Next up is Jason Giambi, he was intentionally walk by the pitcher. Then came Robinson Cano who hits a fly ball therefore allowing Johnny and Jason to move up a base. Wilson Betemit next, was struck out. So far, we have 2outs, 2 man left on base in scoring position. All we need is one run and we'll win. So Melky Cabrera is up next. The first pitch was a ball. The second pitch, was a base HIT! haha...And we got one run...So we won haha...I'm not really sure whether I've used the terms correctly though. haha...but I think it's close haha...you guys wouldn't understand anyway haha...And there are rumours that Alex Rodriguez may be leaving for the Chicago Cubs...I SO hope this is not true man...He mince well with the team esp with Derek Jeter. It's like taking away Xabi Alonso's partnership with Stevie-G ya know haha...They can still play well but no chemistry kind. At least stay till the contract ends.

Then we have the PSV game. The match was POWER. haha...3goals scored from the first half and the other towards the last part of second half. The game can be quite boring cos the commentators are mumbling and that can distract me haha. Anyway the goals scored are fantastic man. 2 from Perez, 1 from Mendez and 1 from Koevermans. Ok the only reason why I watched Dutch league is cos of Jan Kromkamp haha...He's a former Reds so I still gotta support him even after he's left. So I can only remember the other players by their faces or by the names on their jerseys. Anyway, Jan set up and assisted the 4th goal man. From right back, he ran forward cutting across the field like a mad man and when he inside the penalty box, he played a bluff with the Feyenoord keeper and pass the ball to Koevermans who shoots it in. Wonder goal man...haha....I thought it'll be a fierce battle cos Feyenoord is quite a quality club but to be beaten 4-0 man...haha...

So that's my sports update...

oh yea forgot 2 final tidbit:
Jose Mourinho has left Chelsea and Manchester vs Chelsea, 1-0.

Work

Ok...after countless of interviews and resume submissions, I have finally gotten a job. It's only temp but at least it keeps me busy. It's nice cos at least this way my mind doesn't wanders off to somewhere that I have tried very hard to avoid. But man I don't think I'd like an office job. The only perk of an office job is that, I get my own desk. haha...Even though currently mine's only a makeshift desk as compared to others who have their cubicla, it's still my own table haha...and I have my own laptop on it haha...So now when I have nothing to do, I can talk crap on my blog. The cons of having to work an office job is firstly the location. I don't mind having to travel but man I can't stand the morning rush hour. I thought it was bad when I experienced it during IPP. Now it's worse when the office is located in the CBD area. It's like when I'm waiting to board the train, alighting from the train or walking towards the building, I'm control by the crowd cos everyone is rushing. Wherever they move, you follow. It's not THAT bad but still I want to be able to walk freely at my own pace without having to worry blocking another person's way ya know? Looking at these people, I told myself I will not become this people man. Well only for now since I've got no choice. It's not a bad thing but I don't want to be part of it no matter how cool it looks. The other setback is that now I have to sleep early so no more staying up late to watch matches except on weekends.haha...

Daily

Met up with yanling recently at Tiong Bahru. Went round TB then went to check out Great World. I like Great World man haha...cos there are stores to explore like Harris and corners where you can just sit and stone. I've been to GW twice before for a competition back in secondary school but never really got the chance to explore it so that day, was fun haha..even though by the time we finished our dinner, most of the stores are closing haha...it's ok, we'll go back there right? haha...

You know what...I miss playing my guitar. Everytime I come home, it'll be leaning there against my bed just waiting haha...I still play it but not as frequent as before. I need to find new scores to play man. Been trying to find the guitar songbook but still can't find it...Now's the fasting month so normally after work go back home straight therefore no chance of dropping by for gc. I think it's better this way since some people...you know who you are...say I need to let go cos _____________ anymore...haha...

Alright so I'm sure my pc is bored now so I'll let go now aight...
