School's Over...
16 days has gone by since I sat for my last exam paper EVER in NYP haha...But seriously there wasn't a feeling of hurray or oh man...just nothingness... i heard some of my friends rejoicing after their last paper but to me it's nothing ya know...weird...haha...It seems as though it was just just recently that I stepped into NYP. Cliche I know but hey I can reminiscence can't I haha...But seriously man...Time flies...3 bloody years has gone by and my time at NYP is up...No more meeting people to go class...No more tutorials/lectures... No more cheap McDonalds food...No more talking crap with friends and worse of all no more GUITAR!! damn...that hurt hahah...haiz...guess gotta move on sometime right?
List of Things
Since then I've been shaking leg at home haha...Gone out to meet with friends a couple of times but nothing much. Been really lazy is what happened haha...I made a list of things to do after school ends. Here it goes:
1) Go home and put aside anything relating to school
2) Clean up my side of the room
3) Clean up my hard disk
4) Catch up on LOTS of lost sleep
5) Meet up with my ol' pals
6) Plan for the AUS trip
7) Decide on path: Uni or Work
8) Watch TV
9) Resume
I only managed to complete task number #1, 4 and 8. haha...the rest are only half way done. I guess I'm being really lazy cos nowadays, I slept at 5am everyday and only wake up at 6pm. And mostly my day is filled with watching tv, eating and late night surfing haha...Try really hard to avoid doing anything on the list cos I really don't want to though it's important to do some of it. Like the path thingy...Don't really know where to go man...seriously blur about where I'm headed to. I know I wanna further my studies but no idea where and what course. Most people would say continue what you're doing which is the business course but I don't really know if that's what I really want ya know. I like to study it but man...I don't think I want to be a manager someday man...Leadership is really not my cup of tea...I've handled it before but in the professional world I don't think I'm fit for the job cos I constantly need guidance...so how can I guide someone when I can't guide my own self ya know...It'd be like the blind leading the blind....they say as time goes, you'll learn and all but man those talks are all bullcrap... haha...Was thinking of going to my specialization which is Supply Chain cos I kinda like the backend work... but can't really find much degrees offered in that course so have to keep looking...Was looking through NUS website and I was drawn to their Culture degrees and I thought maybe I can apply for the Malay degree...ya know to get in touch with my roots and all..It'll not be a total waste as it can then be used to pass on to other people....Got a few laughs from friends when I told them that haha... To really understand why, just look at my Malay results and ya'll know haha...But it's good ya know cos nowadays with the way the world is going, cultures and traditions are slowly being altered or disappearing ya know. It's a sad case really... Oh well..we'll see how...Given myself until September to figure out which course I wanna take since that's the date for the Jan 2008 intake. Hope HE can help shed some light to help me figure this one...
The Pursuit of Happyness
Been out with Razinah and Vanisha to Orchard recently where we met Daphne along the way....Went to eat and just hang out ya know...Then after that Vanisha went to work, Daphne went off...Raz and Me were bored futhermore it was only 6pm...so we decided to walk to Dhoby Ghaut to catch the movie 'The Pursuit of Happyness'. Man the movie is damn good ah...a bit draggy in the begining but after the wife left him part about how he took care of his son and all, it was excellent man...It was really sad sia...A real tear-jerker man...Really recommend ya guys to watch it.The struggles he went through to support his family is really wow man...Gotta applaud him...It really touch me deeply cos here's a man with nothing except his son and the clothes on his back struggling to make it and yet he knows what he wants ya know and he's successful man... Been watching rugby recently...and man it's rough haha...I haven't really caught on with the Laws but I roughly know what they're doing and how to score points. This is what you call a man sport...not soccer man...soccer is mostly about skill...But rugby...you will need a great amount of stamina and strength..It's a real man sport cos the game is about getting the ball and bringing it home for a try ya know...A try is something like a touchdown in American Football...If someone has your ball, don't just stand there and wait for him to pass like in soccer..you must go all out and slam that guy man and collect what's yours hahha...it's much more brutal ya know...And in rugby you can't fake an injury cos that'll only make you look stupid...Most of the errors or fouls committed by the players will be called out by the refs and linesman so forget about diving to get a penalty haha...And if you watch the game man...ya know how in soccer where even a scratch, the players will use it as an advantage to stall the game? In rugby man don't waste ya time sia...the medics will come on but the game will play on...Like today i watched the game between Wales and England (which Wales won 24 -18...woohoo!!) One of the Wales player, James Hook was having treatment on the field but the game is still on man...haha...Even the game is stopped due to some players needing treatment, the ref will then call time out...this means there will be no extra time added...isn't that cool? haha..And you can get penalty anywhere on the field..But you really need skills man to kick the ball between the post...The team I'm currently following is Wales and Ireland...haha...I think there's a world cup coming up soon...can't wait man...I also watched the Autralian Channel where they sometimes show the Australian Rugby clubs...Western Force is quite good...But it's because they're only one I've watched haha...Besides rugby, look out for the NBA...it's good too...My current favourite team is Dallas Mavericks...Theirs is the first game I watched last month and they impressed me man...and so I've been following them...
Now TV
Nowadays, television shows have gotten quite un-entertainining ya know...they are no more shows which will keep you glued to the tv. There are good shows out there but some are just a waste of airtime man hahah...seriously...Look at MTV...It used to be the channel I watched from morning to night...Nowadays is just to look at some music videos and that too is getting boring. MTV is now filled with too much REALITY tv...And some of the reality shows are just a waste of airtime...like Laguna Beach, Tiara Girls and what not...I mean are we that borea and out of ideas that tv now have to show how people live their life. I mean who cares sia...Nowadays all they have to do to put a tv show is to have a bunch of lazy bumps who have nothing better to do but moan about their failed relationships to their frienda and also the WHOLE DAMN world...and there ya go...hit television...like crap can...What happened to old MTV where it's all about the music and creative people behind not some of people who just have a pretty face. Don't mind me here...just venting my rights as a viewer hahah...but think about it man...reality shows are getting out of hand...If it's a gameshow like Amazing Race and Survivor then it's alright I guess..but shows about how this guy is gonna hook up with this girl is just so boring ya know? Like MTV now here, half the time are reality shows...what ever happened to old shows like MTV Most Wanted, All Access and all that...it was much more entertaining then...The only reality tv shows that are good and will always (i hope...praying...) stay that way are the News and Sports hahah...
